Desktop App Update — Compression Bands & Cycle Projection
Desktop App Update — Compression Bands & Cycle Projection
The MANTIS desktop indicator has received a significant visual and analytical upgrade. Two new features now sit at the heart of the chart, giving you a clearer picture of where Bitcoin is in its cycle — and where it’s likely heading next.
Glowing EMA Compression Bands
The chart now renders the 20-week and 50-week exponential moving averages as glowing lines — orange for the 20-week, teal for the 50-week. These two bands form the backbone of the compression indicator.
When price compresses between them, cycle lows are typically forming nearby. When price breaks cleanly above both and they begin to diverge, momentum is building and the next leg higher is loading. Seeing the bands curve organically through years of price history makes the current phase of the cycle immediately readable — no interpretation required.
Forward Cycle Low Projection
The chart now displays a forward projection ellipse: a glowing oval plotted ahead of the current price, marking the projected cycle low window. Centred on the optimal date and sized by the expected price range, it answers the question most investors are asking right now — when, and at what price?
A dotted lead-in line connects the current price action to the projection zone. The label shows the estimated target price at a glance.
What This Looks Like in Practice
Right now the projection ellipse sits in the May–June 2026 window. The compression bands are tightening. The cycle clock is running. These two features together give you the complete picture — where the market has been, where it is now, and where the next opportunity is forming.
This is the kind of clarity that takes months of study to develop manually. MANTIS puts it on the chart automatically.
